These are the measures that make this possible:
- High-performance thermal envelope, with thermally treated floor slab edges and treated joinery, plus controlled ventilation.
- Individual air-source heat pump for domestic hot water, offering greater efficiency and a longer service life than a conventional boiler, as well as lower energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
- A communal photovoltaic installation, which reduces the building’s energy consumption and, consequently, the service charge.
- A ventilation system that renews the air inside the property and improves energy efficiency beyond the minimum levels required by regulations.
According to the project’s energy assessment, this represents an estimated saving of up to 68 per cent on domestic hot water and up to 79 per cent on electricity consumption compared with a home that merely meets the regulatory minimum standards.
